Thank you and Huh?

First, for the people who skim the first sentence and then channel-click to the next site, This Is NOT History Is A Weapon. It is just the blog for it. The main part of History Is A Weapon is at, surprising enough, www.historyisaweapon.com. We're also at www.historyisaweapon.org and, for the really lazy, www.hiaw.org. We love you, but we would prefer if you linked to History Is A Weapon and not the blog.
I bring this all up because, yippee-skippee, we got a lot of visits, for us, in the last few days. Now if you go to the HUGE sites, they get our daily two thousand hits in the space of ten minutes, but a few thousand hits for us used to take, oh, several months. Now, I thought that we'd get a little spike because we have the excellent The Meaning of July Fourth for the Negro by Frederick Douglass and as enterprising people look up the history of the Fourth, curious what lurks beyond Bush's annual haughty boasts about how the invasion of Iraq and the murder of countless Iraqis and the idle threatening of Iran is enough to get him in the history books along with Washington and Jackson and such, well, before we digress too much, I think Frederick makes the case quite well and I know a lot of people have been reading it and recommending it. But what else accounts for the number of visits? I don't know. A bunch are from some new popular browsing site where people get to post their favorite links. I guess a few people like us, but is it really enough to account for the brief blip?
Other questions...
Where are the rest of the visitors coming from?
What could we do to grow bigger?
Do any of our readers live in the NYC area?
Got the answers? Send us an email.

Hi! great site!

I live in Auckland, New Zealand and am the designer/sub-editor of a magazine called uncensored.

Anyway just thought I'd let you know that your website is going to be an invaluable resource for our uncensored history features...

I found you through googling for the nazi links of King George VI -> Histomat > then a little animated ad. (good ad, by the way.)

I've noticed that there's nothing on economics? On banking reform or the federal reserve (central banks in general)... these are HUGE issues that are censored from mainstream discourse.
